Stud Wall
Preferred
Installation*:
Find a
stud where you want your Grip to hang.
Drill a 3/16th starter hole into
stud. Take the wall
mounting screw that came with your Grip
Guitar Hanger and screw the flat headed end
into your hanger so that the wall screw
portion (pointed end) is protruding
approximately 1 1/2 inches from the hanger
felt bottom.
Proceed to
screw in your hanger into the wall.
Holding
the "hanger" by the wrist,
NOT the fingers, continue to
turn your hanger until it tightens against
the wall and then position it by turning it
slightly to the right or left to where your
guitar will hang level and securely. Make
these adjustments as needed.
Important:
Grip hangers fit most guitars, but
it is at your
discretion that you feel your guitar is
hanging securely.
Warning: Installing your hanger into
drywall must be done correctly and with the
proper anchor hardware for your hanger to be
mounted securely.

Drill a 5/16"
(8mm) diameter hole—minimum hole depth in solid walls
1-1/4+. Fold anchor, insert in hole, and tap flush with
wall.

Insert nail
to pop anchor open behind wall (except in thick or solid
walls). DO NOT HAMMER the NAIL. REMOVE NAIL.
Take your
Grip and the “hanger bolt” that came with your Grip and
screw the flat headed end into your Grip so that the screw
portion (pointed end) is protruding approximately 1 ˝ inches
from the Grip. Proceed to screw your Grip into your wall
anchor. HOLD AT WRIST, NOT FINGERS WHEN TURNING. Continue to
turn your hanger until it tightens against the wall and then
position it where your guitar will hang level. Make
adjustments as needed
